Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of buckstone.io and your purchase or use of services offered by Buckstone. By using the website, booking an engagement, or completing a purchase, you agree to these terms and any service-specific terms shown at checkout or included in a proposal or written agreement. If those service-specific terms conflict with these terms, the service-specific terms control.
Services
Buckstone provides advisory, education, assessments, workshops, research, and related digital or scheduled services. The scope, timing, deliverables, and price for a paid engagement are described on the relevant service page, at checkout, or in a proposal or written agreement. Buckstone may decline work that falls outside the agreed scope or requires credentials, regulated access, or professional services Buckstone does not provide.
Payments and taxes
Prices and payment timing are disclosed before purchase. Payments may be processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. You authorize the applicable charges and agree to provide accurate billing information. Unless stated otherwise, prices do not include taxes you may be responsible for paying. A failed or reversed payment may delay delivery until it is resolved.
Scheduling, cancellations, and refunds
Any cancellation, rescheduling, credit, or refund terms shown at checkout or agreed in writing apply to that purchase. When no separate terms are provided, contact Buckstone as soon as possible before a scheduled session. Refund and rescheduling requests are reviewed based on work already performed, time reserved, nonrecoverable costs, and the circumstances of the request. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing timely, accurate information and for decisions made from the services. Do not share passwords, private keys, full payment-card numbers, regulated personal information, or confidential information you are not authorized to disclose. You remain responsible for reviewing deliverables and determining whether they are appropriate for your organization, risk tolerance, and obligations.
Advisory and AI limitations
Buckstone provides practical advisory and educational support, not legal, accounting, tax, medical, cybersecurity-certification, or other regulated professional advice. AI systems and external sources can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Outputs should be reviewed by qualified people before they are used for consequential decisions, customer communications, compliance, or production operations.
Crypto services
Crypto content and services are educational. They are not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice; an offer or recommendation to buy or sell an asset; a promise of performance; custody; or trade execution. Digital assets involve substantial risk, including possible loss of the entire amount involved. You retain control of and responsibility for every account, asset, and decision.
Intellectual property
Buckstone retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, frameworks, templates, website content, and general know-how. Unless different terms are agreed in writing, you may use paid deliverables internally for the purpose for which they were provided, but may not resell, publish, sublicense, or represent Buckstone materials as your own. You retain ownership of materials you provide.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the website or services, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, evade security controls, infringe another person’s rights, submit unlawful material, or use Buckstone materials to facilitate fraud, deception, or harm. Automated access that degrades the service or ignores stated restrictions is prohibited.
Third-party services
The website and engagements may reference or rely on third-party services such as hosting, scheduling, payment, communications, or AI providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Buckstone is not responsible for a third party’s availability, security, content, or independent actions.
No guarantees
Buckstone will provide services with reasonable care, but does not guarantee a particular business result, financial outcome, cost saving, adoption level, system performance, or uninterrupted website availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and general informational content are provided without warranties not expressly stated in a written agreement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buckstone will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, opportunity, or goodwill arising from the website or services. Buckstone’s aggregate liability relating to a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid Buckstone for that service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where applicable law does not permit it.
Changes and termination
Buckstone may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised date on this page. Material changes do not retroactively alter an already signed written agreement. Buckstone may suspend website access or end an engagement for nonpayment, misuse, unlawful activity, a security risk, or a material breach, subject to any applicable written agreement.
